"The hostel is in a great location, close to the train station and lots of great places to eat nearby. But that's the only strong point. Everything else is average at best. The place needs renovation, WiFi doesn't work, cleaning in the shared bathrooms could be improved. But the location is great. So if you are looking for 1 night near the station - this would do."

The swimming pool is large and pristine, and you can watch a variety of birds in the river while you soak in the pool. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the facilities are first class and the dinner buffet is amazing."

"The Kingsbury had a great vibe and character too. The thing we loved most of all was, the focaccia bread in the buffet, it really showed the quality of chefs they employ there, probably the best in Colombo. The Kingsbury Hotel definitely has standards."

"The hotel is a nice discovery and a modern interior with a heritage exterior. Even the parking is underground that takes your car on an elevator. I enjoyed the facilities except a few downs. One is they don’t have an iron in the room, even the one they brought on request didn’t work. The housekeeping was requested to do the cleaning towards the evening but they didn’t show up. We asked for two plates and cutleries, cutleries were clean but the plates looked as if they didn’t wash them....
