"Fabulous, cosy Hotel. Clean, comfortable and dog friendly. The staff here are so friendly, helpful and genuinely can't do enough for you. Had the best nights sleep-the bed was so very comfortable. The breakfast and the food in the bar is delicious, plentyful, well presented and a great choice of menu. Our only criticism is there are no outdoor bins to dispose of used doggy bags. We will definately be going back though."

"We loved everything about Oakfold House. The quiet yet close to everything location, the beautiful room and view from our room, delicious breakfast. Easy access to buses to explore the many towns around the lake, as we did not have a car. Chris and Robyn were extremely helpful and lovely to chat to - cannot recommend highly enough."

"Really nice apartment, clean and has everything you need for 1 or more nights stay. We used it as a base for our trip to the Zoo. Whilst in Barrow, we found a little museum to entertain the kids (Dock Museum), a nice little walk along the promenade and then a lovely Italian for our evening meal (Salvanas). Can’t fault the apartment but the area does feel a little run down. There are buildings works opposite and at the side of the apartments, not noisy when we stayed but stinky as they were...
