"Loved the property. It was beautifully decorated, and had everything you could possibly need. We have stayed with five star stays before, so this wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last. However the first staff member I spoke to on arrival at the Plough to collect the keys was nothing other than miserable!! Granted we did arrive 30 minutes early, but he was so dismissive of us. "Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed...

"The owners were really helpful. I informed them beforehand I was arriving late, but I was even later than planned and they had no problem with this. It was a friendly welcome and I just needed a bed as a base for wildlife photography at Bempton and this fitted the bill. There was a bit of wear and tear in the room, but it was clean and a nice building. And great value for money. I would stay again."
