"Our group vacation was to reconnect five lifelong girlfriends. We brought our friends and families together too and the trip was magical. The villa is even more gorgeous in person. The landscaping, replete with natural beauty, is comfortable and inviting- flowers, herb and vegetable gardens, grape vines, and ponds with fish and frogs. Don't forget to bring a swimsuit because the pool saved us all on HOT July days and nights. The village is very small and intimate, atop narrow, winding, country...

"Il Nido offers wonderful views in a very private setting. It is a 12 minute drive to Fivizzano so you’ll want to plan your groceries for the stay. There are hiking trails accessible right at the entrance gate. The host is very accommodating. If want a peaceful and relaxing stay this is a great choice."

"We really enjoyed the location and the impressive views of the mountains. The village is very quiet and we had many relaxing days around the property. We used the location as a base to visit Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence and the hosts made some good recommendations of places to visit on the coast e.g Lerici and Levanto. We felt that the property would benefit from air conditioning in the peak summer months but we managed ok with fans in all bedrooms. It was difficult to park our hired car...

The house inside was cold and there was no Coffee brewer, microwave, wacuum cleaner or dishwasher, which where meantioned in the description. Also Sassalbo was small and missing regular services, so we had to drive to bigger cities for grocery and other things."
