"Lovely hotel in a great location for York racecourse and a short taxi ride into the city centre (or 30 min walk). Rooms are very well appointed although the bathroom could be upgraded with dual flush toilet etc. Bed was very comfortable and noise was at a minimum. Staff are helpful and friendly. We like that the pool was open till 11pm"

"We had a nice warm greeting. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked for extra milk & sugar. Room spacious, bed comfortable and me and my partner had a queen sized one. Quiet, peaceful bearing in the mind next to dual carriageway we never heard a thing n we both slept very well. Breakfast was top quality, very tasty could tell it was local produce however, when our breakfast was brought to our table we found it very small as in one rasher of bacon, one sausage, one hash brown. Lots of options available as in continental. Towels were a little hard and rough and air conditioning wasn’t working however it didn’t put us off. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again…."
