"I must admit that when my husband said "ecolodge" and "composting toilets" I was a little wary. From arrival we were blown away by the beauty of the property and friendliness of the staff. We were so impressed that we weren't even unpacked and we were discussing extending our stay. We dropped one of our planned stops on our trip to NZ just to stay here longer. Besides being beautifully designed everything is done with great ecological care. Those composting toilets that I was worried about...

"We had a wonderful stay at Possum Lodge - much more than we expected! We booked one of the family cottages - cottage 2. As others have noted, it’s rustic, yet charming. We felt it was a good size for the three of us and the amenities were good. Best part was the surrounds - very well maintained and beautiful garden, set amongst native trees and right next to the lake. We had afternoons where we just chilled outside. The Church and the local cafe were both 5 minutes walk away, and we frequented...
