Maybe the offer of calling us when the room was ready instead of asking us to call to see if the room was ready would have been more efficient/going the extra mile. Food was lovely, lovely village location. Shame the sewage works was going on whilst we visited but not hotels fault. "Staff: World class service. From entering the reception to leaving out the door, everyone was incredibly polite and helpful. Impressive effort and attention to detail to make sure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. Room: Very well decorated, great bathroom, powerful shower and nice soap. "A wonderful find right in the centre of the town. Clean, comfortable and very clean. We were met on arrival and the room was already ready at 1130am. Perfect t for our needs. We didn’t eat in but should we have there was great menus and a cosy bar/lounge area with a fire roaring"

"My room was in an annex accessed across the car park, the route was somewhat circuitous along a gravel path to the rear of the building to the entrance, there were other rooms in this annex. My room was on the ground floor, the building felt warm, and I was very impressed with the standard of furnishings, especially high quality blinds and door curtain, coffee and tea, and kettle provided, also TV which was challenging to use! "This was our 9th time here, as a group of fellow motorcyclists, this place is a Central meeting place for all of us. The Dog house could do with a lick of paint, but it is clean. Good selection of drinks, decent meals and a good breakfast. "
