"My family of 7 came to Canada from Texas to visit Banff NP, Yoho NP, Kootenay NP and the Icefields Parkway. This cabin was the perfect place to go home to after visiting those very busy but very beautiful parks and lakes. It was completely quiet and restful. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed including an ice cream maker which my son used to make almond ice cream and an instapot which we used to make chili. "It was so nice to be able to burn as much firewood as I wanted in the fireplace at the lodge. Also, the lodge didn't have wifi, which was inconvenient at first, but it was a great experience to be able to focus on conversations with family without relying on electronic devices. Also, the trail that circles the entire lake was so nice. The only regret was that there was no refrigerator in the room, which was inconvenient. I had no choice but to pack the food I brought in a bag and leave it on the veranda for a while, but while I was eating breakfast, a wild animal opened the bag and ate the food. "
