"I loved the Ship Inn. The staff were very helpful. The room was perfect for what I was looking for. It was walkable from the train station. It was convenient to walk to Dunnottar Castle. I went out early to run and felt safe. The locals were friendly. Lots of cute little restaurants and cafes. The Ship Inn restaurant was very good. I would stay again."

"Nice friendly indepedant guest house. Some rooms are non ensuite. I've used both ensuite and non ensuite and no issues Good value for money, friendly and a good breakfast. For the price there's nothing to dislike. Internet is pretty good for working, along with desk space. For me it ticks all the boxes."

"Wow! Where to start..? What a stunning place to stay! I wish we had stayed longer! The welcome was lovely our room was amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was so good, typically Scottish & a real treat! We went to the sea at Lunan Bay which is literally a 5min drive past the property - this area was gorgeous. Huge sand dunes but a beautiful stretch of beach, peaceful and calm. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended. Thank you for looking after us so well. "

We were a bit worried when arriving with our 2 year old that it might not be child friendly as it was clearly a beautiful building, but the staff were absolutely lovely with her and very happy to provide what we needed. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended."
