"Our stay in Wetherby was to have a home base for ourselves whilst visiting family throughout Yorkshire. The cottage was comfortable and cosy enabling us to have our own space but still being able to socialise and visit family members. "

On leaving, we found underwear from a previous guest under one of the children's beds. One of the double beds was clearly broken and had a massive dip in one side. Outdoor furniture tired and tatty. "The location of the Cottage is 5* easy walking distance to the Jorvik, York museum, Shambles, river cruise and lots of restaurants and pubs. York Minster is also nearby. "Lovely old property, needs TLC. Reviews for last 2 years say the same. Wouldn't cost much to replace carpet , fix up mould issues and curtains / furnishings etc. We are at complaining at all as we loved our stay, just think the updates would receive excellent reviews then could charge more. Cleaners maybe need more time to do a thorough job. We would stay again , absolutely. "
