"I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. "Been to these apartments a few years ago and it looks like it has changed hands. The apartment is in need of repair the patio door was broken couldn’t lock, the shower was broken and the kettle kept tripping the electric. "Over all this hotel suited my needs....my mobility is hampered after suffering a stroke...so my room allocation was the 18th floor...be prepared to speak fluent languages but not english....when you check in....then be prepared too get a taxi too another hotel 10 minutes away...why they don't issue the key's at the tarik as they used too is a complete mystery...then there's the 9 digit code you have to tap into your door handle...take some one small with you...it'll help."

"Honestly when I read the reviews about this place after my husband booked, I was very sceptical. People said it was dirty, had cockroaches, no hot water. None of this was true. About the hot water, you must realize that water heaters in Europe are half the size of North American ones. We had plenty of hot water. It was very close to the marina where many of our excursions departed and just a short walk across the bridge from the downtown area.
