"Lovely pub/restaurant, very homely, well decorated, tidy, clean. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Bit short staffed but those that worked out in extra effort so the level of service was still good. "

"I like the architecture and design of the property, like the area as I have lots of memories living near by for 4 years, love local diner and antic shops, to have chinese food next door was also convenient, appreciate to have a quiet room. I was only regret not to have a brush for the toilet in the bathroom.. The staf was very kind and friendly.. so thank you all"

"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"We loved the idea of staying in a castle and that in itself was magical. We stayed in the Cromwell Suite which is big. The kids loved the extra room to roam. The high ceiling in the living/2nd bed area was nice and contributed to the majestic feel.There were however a few things that could have been better. "This is our second trip in six months to the Red Lion and we fully intend to book again. We stayed in the Napoleon room as we did on our previous trip. "Some of the friendliest and kindest staff I've ever had, with a simple and easy check-in/check-out process. Also very delicious food at the pub downstairs as well. My bed was very comfortable as well, and the room was very clean. Overall, I'd gladly come back to stay if I ever visit again."

"Pub is closed on Sunday evenings and Monday morning so only contact we had was to pick key up, so cannot really comment on service. Lodge was clean but looking a bit tired, but was fine for a one night stay. "

"The White Hart is a lovely country style pub with accommodation. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious and our room was comfy and warm. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay there again."
