"The Walnut Tree is a lovely place, the room tidy and clean, if a little tired. Food and restaurant is excellent. Would I go there again? Yes, I'm booked in for next week."

"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"Great little place to stay with really welcoming and friendly staff. We had a beautiful clean and cosy warm room with all the options as described in our booking. We dined in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to some local trails and town was an easy walk or drive down the road. Thank you"

"Lovely welcome, clean, warm comfortable room. The only problem was, I was unable to eat at the premises on Monday evening this time of year. Apparently they start serving.evening meals again on Monday evenings come March time."

"Its the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel. We like because it is close to family and there are also others attractions close by. Deddington is a nice little village. We have always found the property clean and staff are great. We noticed this time the room needs updating and freshening up. They serve a very good breakfast and for dinner there is a good choice. Restuarant is very comfortable. "

"Super place, really clean and tidy. Friendly atmosphere and the pub was magic. Stayed for a couple of nights and had access cards to get in and out. No food at the pub but beer was cracking!! "

"The Red Lion was "going under new ownership" upon our arrival. We were the first customers. The facility was historic and quaint. The food was good although it was obvious things were just getting going. I felt safe and it was nice to be in a lovely English village for the evening. Thank you David, for your conversation and consideration."

"Room was a little small and had no work area to use computer. The pub was closed but I got a meal in the next village and had breakfast at MacDonalds 15 mins from hotel."

"Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn't praise them high enough. Room nice and warm. Relative to cost good value for money. Disappointing there was one cup in room to share. No milk. Tray with sachets of coffee /tea on dirty. Half opened sugar sachet left from previous user. "
