A large pool where you could really get your laps in and lemon and lime trees with an abundance of fruit to pick. The house was very traditional. Lots of space and a very quirky ground floor. "Great location for access to airport and Porto. Beautiful two bed apartment with pool. Hosts were charming and spoke English. It was a perfect last night before our cruise, but would make a good base for exploring north of Porto."

"Great condominium, very spacious for 4 adults and 2 children. Check in very easy with owner available anytime if needed. Parking available right outside door. Very secure due to shutters to keep out heat. Only 30 mins from Porto airport. Complex is very clean and tidy and has a lovely pool on site with a great little bar that serves snacks. "My wife, our two young boys and I, had the most fabulous stay at Casa Sao Joao. We rented the left wing apartment of the house, overlooking the pool. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with ice cold a/c for the hot days, of which there were many! The manor house is set in the most sumptuous grounds, with lovely shady vine tunnels surrounding the pool, leading to deeper depths of the garden and many flowers in bloom. The pool was a delight. "We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous property. Location is stunning - right by the lighthouse, short walk down to the beach. You can walk into the local village as well where we found a great bakery and amazing value restaurant Sergio. Comms with the owner were great and with the lovely housekeeper Paula who can come in and clean during your stay. Could do with a larger outdoor dining table but that is the only improvement I can think of. The house is very well equipped. Thank you!"

"Bien, hay cosas a mejorar como por ejemplo que lo principal en la cocina como sal, vinagre, aceite, azucar aunque sea en proporción pequeñas para salir de paso, no había. Nos quedamos desde el día viernes hasta el domingo. Y tener en cuenta las camas son para niños de hasta 7años, porque son como 1.20 o 1.30 y las luces de la cocina y sala solo iban una. "It was pleasant, but extremely basic! There were nothing to drink water with - not even throw away cups! The pilows were about 5 metres thick. As far as towels were concerned we had two bath towels and only one face towel. The rooms were clean. The breakast was more than expected and fresh and enjoyable. The breakfast area was modern with lovely touches, the design of the chairs surprisingly delightful. The location of the hotel was spot on!"
