"Very clean, views are incredible, quiet beach and quiet resort. Hike back to our room is a hike in the heat, but the views make it worthwhile. Food quality is fantastic, but you'll be limited to 3 choices per course. They do have extra paid options if there isn't anything you like on the menu, but really, you couldn't go wrong. We would pick randomly because everything ended up being amazing and fantastic presentation. Quiet resort with couples looking for quiet as well. It was truly a week away, and came back to the daily grind fully rejuvenated."

"Even though this is an older property, the rooms were clean, the food was very good, and the staff was overall friendly and helpful. But, the beach is stunning. It's huge , crystal blue waters, soft white sand, plenty of areas to sit and people are never right in top of you. I have been here several times ... for the beach and low key , chill vibes. "If you are looking for a place to completely to get away from it all with a laid-back vibe, this would be the place. The rooms and property are just what was expected. We stayed in the rooms on the Royal Beach. You can swim there, but beware it is a rocky beach. Sugar Grapes beach was best for swimming. The food was good, and the drinks were the best we've experienced at any other all-inclusive. Besides the beautiful scenery, food, drinks and accommodations, the staff were what really made this place stand out from other places we have visited. Just to name a few that stood out Odette, Serena, Dalston, David, Brad, and Chris, there are many more that we didn't get their names unfortunately but sincerely enjoyed meeting them and thank them for their time and care insuring we had everything we needed. We would definitely visit again. "

"Property is lovely,(we were all inclusive), food is great, could prove pricey if not all incl. Drinks were free flowing and never too much trouble to prepare. Staff are all lovely and extremely helpful. Only problem is it is a little isolated 15 mins in a taxi to Dickenson bay and 20to 30 mins to St. Johns and shops. "

"We spent 10 wonderful days at The Verandah Resort. I previously stayed here 11 years ago and have always wanted to return and we were not disappointed. The setting amongst 30 acres of lush tropical gardens is simply spectacular. The rooms are all semi detached villa suites set amongst the gardens. We booked a Waterfront Suite which gave amazing views over the bay. Sitting on the balcony in the early morning and evening watching the pelicans and other bird life were priceless times of the day. There is a good range of restaurants- our favourite was Portofinos with a delicious menu of Italian dishes cooked to perfection. The quieter Rasta beach was perfect for chilling under the palm trees and walking across the sand to the beach grill for cocktails and lovely grilled dishes. One of the highlights of our stay was a tour of the plant nursery by Charles, the head gardener. His knowledge and enthusiasm was amazing and I felt very privileged that he gave up his time to share his love of the gardens. The feature of The Verandah which tops all others are the amazing staff. They are friendly, always laughing and enthusiastic and nothing is too much bother. A special mention to the lovely Nicole in Portofinos, the staff at the beach grill and all the buggy drivers! We hope to come back soon. Truly a very, very special place in paradise!"

"A really lovely B&B. Warm welcome. Fabulous views. Accommodation very comfortable. Nice pool. Delicious breakfast. Own transport definitely needed as it is very remote (up a steep hill!) with no shops or restaurants in walking distance. Great base for exploring Antigua. "
