"It was very nice. The only and major downside was there was no one there ever. The chap who cuts the grass showed us where we were staying but the owners/staff weren’t there once that we saw."

Characterful cottage situated at the gateway to the Norfolk coast
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (18)
"A short stay to explore the Norfolk coast. I loved the attention to detail and decor of the cottage. If you like historic buildings then this place is for you! The top floor room has an old beam across it and is a struggle to get into but the kids liked it so that was a win. The cottage is quite dark inside and just enough social space for two adults and two kids. The courtyard garden is lovely and a great sun trap. Thanks for having us. "

"We had the best time at The Chequers. Everything you could want was available and of a high quality. I loved sitting in the conservatory, looking out at the beautiful garden day and night.
