"The proprietors were charming folks and resident Alaskans. They provided a wonderful breakfast, taking into account our dietary preferences. They also were interesting in that they housed firefighters who had been working to control wildfires threatening some of Alaska's beautiful natural areas."
"Property was centrally located in the downtown area of Fairbanks, restaurants were walkable. Hotel was clean. AC didn’t work as well as we would have wanted but who would have thought you would need ac in Alaska. Didn’t realize the homeless population was that bad, but they did a good job of keeping them out of the hotel. "

"This isn’t a cookie cutter hotel. It has character. First impression going to office was a little concerning, but once me got to room we were happy. Decor was dated, but clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty."
Beautiful Nottingham House: Secluded but Close to Town
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the atmosphere greatly. The amenities were great and the beds super comfortable. Would stay again. Great base for exploring Fairbanks and area. Recommend the Gold Dredge 8 tour."
"The property looks like it pictures. It needs some updating but has very nice kitchen appliances, washer and dryer. When we arrived there was wet towel in the washer and the TV would not come on, the property manager had someone immediately come over and take are of the issues. The king size bed was very comfortable and the sofa in front of the TV was too. It was perfect for our needs"
"Quirky, fun and so friendly hostel. Met people of all ages from Japan, Chile and US. Clean, well-priced. Newer washer and dryer. Patio was so inviting with small fountain under a shade tree. Billie is a wonderful host!"
"I arrived at the house right at check in time and the code would not open the door. I tried to contract the owner but heard nothing. I realized that my e-mail had a 30 minute later check in than the website so I left and returned 30 minutes later. The code would still not open the door. After trying to get help from the owner - heard nothing and VRBO for around 45 minutes I left as I was in the cold with my 83 year old mother and 15 year old. We never got in. A few hours later the owner responded that he was on a plane and provided a lock box code. By this time have of our party had found something else and I had checked into a hotel. At the time I did not realize I had been billed the fill amount, because the charge on my VISA was not from VRBO. Now I've been trying to get my refund for over a month and nothing. The owner said they would refund me, but it has not shown up on my credit card and now he/she is not responding. VRBO will not respond. I am soooooo frustrated. I would not recommend booking this place. Also, there was another unit above. They people staying there tried to help me. They said they were having a lot of problems with their unit too. They said hot water kept running out. I'm sorry to be writing such a bad review, but I have given this owner so much time to reimburse me and I'm fed up. "
"A real treehouse, with all the comforts of home. The space is cozy, but more than big enough for a couple. It gives a great taste of an authentic interior Alaska “dry cabin” (but with a full bath, laundry, hot tub, and sauna steps away!). "
