"Great hotel and spa, really well presented building and the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive and polite. OK it's a little pricey but well worth the experience overall. The only negative for me was from the Lava restaurant where I had probably the worst steak ever especially given it's hefty price tag."

"The apartment was perfect for our honeymoon. Quiet and away from the city was just what we were looking for. Close enough to get to Reykjavik and other attractions when we wanted. The owner was very attentive and responsive. The apartment is very clean and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend and stay again!"

"We arrived about midnight. We had received directions on how to do a self service key lock. Unfortunately the key code for the reception entrance was so dark , we didn’t see it. When we finally found it, we were getting a “battery low” message. After a bit of panic, we pulled out the email from the hotel, and spoke with someone who was able to help us. After a bit of a rough start, everything in the room was good. "

"Staff was friendly. We arrived late and the kitchen closed at 9:30pm we got there at 9:25pm. Although the chef did not offer us the full menu, he did offer the sandwiches and the quick appetizers which were enough for hungry, late travelers. "

"this guesthouse is in a convenient and good location for the airport with an airport shuttle also! lovely man who took us to the airport. the facilities such as shower and kitchen were good. beds where comfy and rooms big enough. the only downfall was the leather headboards were coming apart and the pillows and bed become covered in leather from this which is uncomfortable and itchy. "

"Stayed here with our toddler to catch a few hours of shut eye when our flight landed at 0500. The guest house was so accommodating when we let them know that’s what we’d be using it for, and they let us stay an extra hour for free which was much appreciated. "The staff was very helpful and nice! Oley(sp?) was always willing to give us tourist type pointers and hints. The breakfast was great! There was someone there monitoring the food to make sure it was fresh. It was a typical European breakfast with a waffle maker. 😊 The Hot tub is the same sulfur water that all the spas charge you for. And my husband loved the sauna. The Viking theme was extra fun. "
