The hotel is set in a beautifully quiet and remote area, which makes it a perfect base for exploring the Golden Circle without the crowds. The peaceful surroundings and wide-open skies give it a unique charm, especially at night. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The private hot tub outside was the highlight — soaking in the warmth under the stars was an unforgettable experience, especially when the Northern Lights made an appearance. The design of the rooms combines modern comfort with Icelandic charm, and everything was spotless and well-maintained. Breakfast was exceptional — a generous spread of fresh pastries, local cheeses, fruits, and hot items that changed daily. The on-site restaurant also served one of the best dinners I had in Iceland, with local specialties like Arctic char and lamb, all beautifully presented. Service was courteous and warm, and the staff made every effort to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. It felt both luxurious and personal, which is a rare combination. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and upscale stay in South Iceland — especially if you want to experience the Northern Lights in comfort — I highly recommend Hotel Grímsborgir. "I loved my stay at the Greenhouse Hotel! It was such a cute and aesthetically pleasing place—every corner felt thoughtfully designed and cozy. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Parking was super convenient, which made things even easier. One of the best parts was the food hall connected to the hotel—so many great options right at your fingertips. Would definitely stay here again!"

"We loved our stay at Sea side cottage. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. The property was in lovely surroundings and is very well presented warm and cosy. The kitchen had all we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable and warm. Excellent communication from our host with clear directions to the house and a thoughtful guidebook in the property. It’s worth being aware that the bathroom is down a very steep shallow set of steps and might be tricky for small children or if you have mobility problems. We loved our stay and would definitely return if fortunate enough to come back to this stunning country. "
