"Everglades City is an older, sleepy town, some things showing their age - a lot. But our hotel room was very modern, dare I say "hip" and was very comfortable. Had to negotiate steps to get to it; if you can't handle your suitcase on steps be sure to ck if they have other rooms. We didn't care. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a small kitchenette in our room. No breakfast but nearby "bait shop" (Nely's Corner) has awesome coffee and breakfast and welcoming staff. This was a one night stay...

"I usually LOVE the Everglades and normally stay at the ivy house but this time stayed at the captain’s table. The room was not clean when we got there so she switched rooms. The beds were to small and extremely uncomfortable. For some reason the mosquitos were a lot worse than normal. "We enjoyed the location and ease of travel to the activities and park locations. There wasn't a kitchenette as listed and not even a counter for the microwave but the fridge worked well. I don't think the bathroom fan worked at all though. There was no room service or breakfast and "social distancing " was the excuse, lame and outdated. The bed was comfortable and TV worked well and lots of hot water and ac. Overall an ok value but not what I'd consider a vacation spot."

"The room was neat and well furnished with an amazing view! Would definitely recommend the place, especially if you're going to be out and about all day.just a little note: The room had a very weird chemical smell that would persist, all the towels smelled of it. And I struggled to breathe...had to put the fans on and the extractor fan on all day to not get that smell into all my clothes. Other than that, the place was excellent. "
