"I think its important to note that this hotel has a five star rating. When you have this rating i think its fair to be critical of things that i would otherwise not comment on. Cons: the pool needed a clean (there was green slime on some of the walls. Some of the matress beds by the pool were covered in bird poo for days on end. "Excellent, friendly staff that made staying there a pleasure. The have 2 restaurants with delicious food and a clean pool. It's a little walk up to the medina (say 15 to 20 mins) but that it straight up the beach and so was beautiful in itself. It's right beside the beach so if it's not too windy then that's great to hang out on too. "

Villa Daba isn't near Essaouira's city centeral, but it is within driving distance. It takes anywhere between 15-25 minutes and it is a nice drive. Breakfast was great. We would stay again. The only issues we had with the property were one the road to the property isn't paved, which isn't noted on...

"The location of the Hotel Miramar is fantastic. It is right across from the beach and a short walk to the Medina. The staff were friendly and helpful. The terrace was a wonderful place to have coffee, tea, and dessert. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is a little rundown and in need of refreshing. And, there is no air conditioning, and the rooms don’t have any air circulation so they are very warm. They provided us with a fan which helped a little but it was still uncomfortable. "
