"It was a very nice and relaxing stay. The location was peaceful and relatively easy to get to from San Diego. The house was very clean, open space, and the living room was cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was nice and big, great for hanging out during family dinner prep. The outdoor space was peaceful. I would recommend staying here to others that would like a nice getaway from the city."

"Stay two nights in this beautiful property. The small cabin was cozy and quaint. Even arriving a bit late, the private roads were easy enough to navigate with the hosts directions (it does get a little bumpy though, be warned). The kitchenette was great. The view was gorgeous. A very happy weekend getaway for us. "

"Wonderful tiny cabin. We had a great visit celebrating my husband’s birthday. Very clean with beautiful views of the natural beauty and wildness surrounding it. Was able to get some fantastic photos of the sunset from the front porch as well. Would definitely recommend it to others."

"We greatly enjoyed the little house, it was exactly what we were looking for! Everything we could need! Be sure to follow the owners directions to the house, not gps, they are different so trust hers. I was nervous arriving after dark, and if the roads were wet or icy it may have been difficult. But it was a dry lovely weekend. Stay here!"

"My son really enjoyed the bunk beds. The location was great with nearby walking trails and the house was cozy with a great fireplace. There was an issue with the door code when we arrived but the manager was extremely responsive. Some cons were some areas were not cleaned well. We found dirty dishes that were put away, we found clean dishes in the dishwasher that were not out away, and it does not look like they cleaned under the master bedroom beds or took the trash out from the garage."

"We loved our stay at the cabin! It was as depicted in the listing. If you are looking for a cozy, rustic vibe, this is your place! It's super close to town, but just secluded enough to appreciate being in the mountains among the tall trees. It's also a 'designated dark sky' area (which I had never heard of before) so it's REALLY dark at night, but you can really see all the stars in the skies, which is very cool! "Our stay couldn’t have been better and exceeded our expectations! The detailed communications from Bruce and Gail, which included arrival directions, amenities, and last day information, made our stay at the cabin stress free. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We were even welcomed with fresh baked bread! We were treated like family, rather than guests. Thank you so much, Gail and Bruce."

"A location close to a family members ranch(10 minutes away) I enjoyed the very rustic look it has but the wife not so much, she was taken back by the shower tub stain. Miner thing. I totally enjoyed my stay there, Thanks so much………"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house just minutes from main street in Julian. Although the house is close to Julian, it is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.The special vintage touches in decor along with modern comforts made us feel right at home. The Franklin cast iron stove was cozy and kept us warm. "Martin’s cabin, the Lilac, was perfect for our weekend away. It was easy to get to and check in was simple. Make sure to read all of the information provided before arrival since there is no cell signal. This cabin was cozy, rustic, and a hidden gem on Palomar Mt.
