"This villa was incredible. Vera was super nice and very helpful. She met with us when she checked us in and gave us a TON of useful information. Everything about the home was clean and there were plenty of dishes/pots, etc. The photos of the home are beautiful but they simply don't do justice to how fantastic it is. "Such a clean, comfortable and well equipped villa. Easy walking distance to the beach, supermarket and some lovely beach bars and restaurants. We did hire a car but wouldn’t bother again as hardly used it. Drive to Split can be horrendous, parking difficult too so better by taxi or bus. Fantastic host, so very kind to let us stay for our last day as no one was booked in. So grateful. Thank you so much. "

We didn't have a car for the first few days of our 3 week stay and would recommend one if you are unable to manage the few steep roads in the neighbourhood. "When we booked this was rated as 4-star. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and nice friendly owners, but 4-star it isn't. We were also lead to believe that it was in walking distance of various restaurants but there was nothing - the nearby hotel had a beach bar/restaurant but that closed for the season during our stay (in September?). Views over a building site! The photos on the Villa's website include several that are actually of the mentioned hotel, not Villa Nico and it's own facilities."

The house is perfect for large family or friends. Every bedroom has a bathroom . The balcony and view were amazing. Mosquitos were a problem at night. "Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful host. Great historic property for a large group of friends. Rooms are all on separate floors. The common / living room area to hang out is only accessible from outdoors - it was raining when we were there so that made it hard and we didn’t use it. It looks like an old hostel or small hotel and that the “common area” was the lobby. "
