The hotel location is GREAT! Right at the edge of the palace, and close to bus station, many dining options. The room I stayed had great sea views. What I got impressed most was the professionalism displayed by staff members! I travelled in their low season, and I was the only guest at multiple hotels in Crotia, and the staff at this one stood out! They were kind and accomodating. Anna prepared breakfast with a good variety of options for food and drink, even though I was the only guest that morning. I am so touched. Thank you Anna!

Great location. Small hotel with a few steps if this is an issue to you. Quirky breakfast room small but has all you need to fuel for the day ahead. Staff helpful and friendly. All in all does the job perfectly.

This place is in the absolute perfect location and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the room itself had some issues. There was a smell coming from the floor drain in the bathroom and the wall mount was broken so you had to hold the shower head. Super great price for the location though!

Good budget option but next time may upgrade.
Great location in Split next to the Riva. It was convenient to get out and explore. The rooms were super clean, but you could tell it’s an older property. The bathroom doors did not close from the wood having swelled with moisture, and it was hard to open it to get inside. The bathroom smelled terribly and was very small.

Great Seafront Hotel in Split
We have stayed at Kastel 1700 before. Its location is amazing right on the Riva with good sea views. The staff are extremely helpful, kind and friendly and speak very good English. It is a comfortable hotel, with all modern facilities built into the walls of the old city around Diocletian's Palace. The breakfast is also very good. I would recommend Kastel 1700.
