"This year was our 5th year in a row spending Thanksgiving on the North Shore w our family. While we’ve been going up for the past 30 years, this may have been my favorite place we stayed. Cozy, private, and super relaxing. The host was great and very communicative. Since it was a football fest for the weekend, we did bring our own TVs since they don’t have them but otherwise, I expect we will look to go back here again. "

"Gorgeous views and very nice cabin! Host was extremely responsive to any and all of our questions. He even helped locate a left behind toy. Only recommendation is if you travel there in the winter make sure you have good tires and 4 wheel drive! Drive is steep and slipperly when that gorgeous Minneaota snow starts falling! "

"Went to relax and celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Elbow Lake several times and knew what to expect. The cabin is "no frills" but that is part of the experience. It is right on the lakeshore with a deck literally a few feet from the water. The lake is quiet with very few boats making it easy to hear the frequent loon calls. It's a good kayak / canoe lake with a beautiful sand beach in front of the lodge for swimming. The on-site manger and his family are there for whatever you need....

"….and that’s exactly what we did! Our stay was better than hoped in celebrating my birthday. My fiance took me to a place he described as majestic and that it is. We could have stayed in town but the true experience of Ely was here. The sunrise and sunset out our window was magnificent! Living of the needs in life made it that more memorable. "It was the perfect property and location for a quick 3-day getaway from the Twin Cities to clear the mind and relax. The house was the ideal size, isolated enough but close enough to Ely or Tower if we needed anything. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing, long weekend. The view is incredible from everywhere in the house and this part of the Burntside Lake is sparsely populated.
