"The house was nice and the owner was great to deal with, she provided a lot of local knowledge on things to do. I will say that it is on a surprisingly busy road. But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. "This is a room in a lovely old farmhouse. I thought the description could have been more detailed: I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The room is on the second floor; the bathroom is private but down a short hallway. The property is in the country and very quiet. Restaurants and stores are in Ellsworth, and easy 20-25 minute drive. Hosts are lovely and not intrusive. "

"Wonderful camp, just magnificent views of the pond. The road was tough (unpaved), but it was so quiet. Again we went in October. Inside was very clean and nice, just like the photos they had on the website. We took drive to Bar Harbor very nice 👌 "

"We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. We were so LUCKY it was available. The price was reasonable and we could immediately check in. So easy! Thank you to the host family who has placed this location on...
