"This place is a welcome sanctuary from the hustle a bustle of Kampot. We did some day trips to kep markets and Kampot pepper farm which were easily organised by the hotel. They also easily organise a scooter for the day for us to visit bakor mountain. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from Kampot town, however is was easy to organise for the hotel to drop you in to town and get a grab tuk tuk for about $2. "The staff at The Columns are extremely nice and helpful. The included breakfast has many nice options and is well-prepared. We had both a double room on the first floor and a balcony room on second floor in our party, and we much preferred the first floor. It’s more spacious, better laid out, and has high ceilings. The second floor is not great for tall people because there are so many low ceilings, and the rooms feel cramped. "

"The place is very quiet and has a relaxed feel to it. Quite rustic. The staff did not speak any english so check in was tricky. After we got settled in the room we did meet the owner who did speak english and he made us feel very welcomed. "
