"Tofo was super dirty, garbage in the room, used tampons under the bed, the bathroom was terribly dirty, there was no toilet paper. Additionally, the area where the hostel is located was dirty, and looked dangerous. I do not recommend staying at this hostel. It's cheap but I wouldn't stay here again."

"Welcoming staff. Had bread and eggs provides each morning to prepare breakfast. Access is with code, so no need to be bothered about forgetting the key. I had a private room, pretty spacious with great view to the beach and sunset. Just seconds yo walk from beach and some various restaurants. Big grocery shop vons also not far, about 10 min walk. Connection with Downtown is wishing to be better , in general public transport if LA is pretty bad"

"This is a hard review to write, as the host was super-responsive to an internet issue I had. We stayed at the same property 2 years ago as it is close to our in-laws. Proximity to beach is great, so I could work when needed and the kids could bike/play. But after a few nights my back was killing me from the old mattress. But a plus for VRBO here, as the same property was more expensive on the main competitor site. "
