"We were nervous arriving at this hotel as some reviews were horrific! We were delighted to find that the room and en-suite bathroom were absolutely spotless. Yes, the stairs are a bit grubby and *very* steep but so were every other stairs we came across in Amsterdam. Yes, the beds are probably narrower and closer together than some other hotels, but they were absolutely clean and combined with the fantastic location we were delighted at this find. "Unfortunately due to the restaurant next door the whole room smelt of curry including our sheets. The bathroom was mouldy and felt unclean. The bed was really comfortable When we walk our room a rat was in the room next to us which freaked us out and ruined our last night "

"Speciale ervaring om op een boot te overnachten. Wakker worden, buitenstappen, en meteen op het water :) Het ontbijt was dik in orde. Wel lastig als iedereen op hetzelfde moment wil ontbijten, daar is te weinig plaats voor. Heel jammer dat de uitbaters geen Nederlands spraken :( Wifi werkt enkel in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte."

Excellent hotel

"The hotel is in a brilliant location just one stop to Amsterdam Central Easy for the airport and bus terminal there too. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Room very comfortable, spacious enough and clean. Good continental breakfast Free drinks rather than towel change good idea. One small disappointment having to pay to leave luggage due to flight times, after check-out- €3 euros per person not terrible jyst unexpected I'd highly recommend the hotel brilliant value so thank you!! "

Excellent location if arriving by train

"The location is excellent, walking distance from the Central train station and close to bars, restaurants etc. It was also very quiet, though I stayed on Monday and Tuesday evenings which may be quieter than at the weekend (though it is opposite the police station so perhaps that helps keep things in order on the street outside!). I enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others. "
