"It was in a beautiful setting with vineyards and gardens throughout. The breakfast with eggs individually made and homemade cakes and desserts were phenomenal. There’s a special large communal room with glass views all around with views of the mountains. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom unique. "It was the only place in that area that had a sand beach with a beautiful layout. Even the outdoor bathrooms were so clean and pretty. The breakfast was amazing and the service fantastic. We stayed in one of the apartment style rooms. Would absolutely recommend this place and would go here again!"

"We loved Taormina and our stay at Terra Rossa. The property is beautiful and in the perfect location. You can walk up to the town and down to the beach. We did not need a car. It’s a lot of walking but great exercise. We loved our apartment, the decor is nice and the layout was perfect for our family of 5. Constance and Giovanni were wonderful hosts. They were so helpful with our trip. Having the option to have breakfast at the resort was a plus. We can’t wait to go back! ."

"Upon arrival, the property appeared unkempt and tired. At check in we discovered the swimming pool was not Included in the fee and would cost another 30€ for one half day. At the pool terrace, we were removed by staff as our pool passes did not include sitting at poolside! We were sent to the “garden” area which was a weedy, garbage strewn area away from the pool. "It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."

"Full of character (with a museum in the basement). Close to restaurants and other sights (the cathedral/museums etc...). Self catering in rooms is basic - better to eat out. About 120 Euro taxi ride from Catania airport. Reception is not 24/7 so arriving out of hours needs some advance planning. Reception staff are very helpful. Ortigia itself is tiny and you can walk everywhere. Don't forget your afternoon siestas. "

"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
