"Overall, this was such a creative and rustic place. I loved the antique pieces and the functional use of items. The bed was very comfortable. The challenge was that the deck had not been cleaned (bird droppings and just grime) for a long time - had to put a towel on the chair to cover the yuk. The adirondack chairs down by the beautiful brook were not used due to the many bird droppings that were not new. Attention to these details would have left me providing a fantastic review, but the bird...

"The Palmer house is a great spot! Super comfy and clean. It's in a perfect location - just on the edge of downtown. And the host is always very responsive and helpful. We will continue to stay...every time we get to Baker!"

"Very much enjoyed our stay. Had all we needed and the owner was very responsive and prompt with communication. Only negative comment would be that it is on the main road through town which was loud when large trucks drove by. That would not be a deterrent from staying again. Just an FYI for those traveling who are light sleepers. Little bakery underneath was fantastic."

"Great location across from the Wallowa lodge. You are essentially in a basement studio apartment. When we stayed the Upstairs neighbors took most the parking and we had to squeeze in, which was annoying. Very small and would be tough to fit more than two adults and one child."

"I had originally booked one of the one bedroom units, but unfortunately when I checked-in there was a pool of water of the Kitchen floor - evidently there had been a storm power outage the day before and it tripped the breaker to the refrigerator/freezer and the ice in the freezer had melted and leaked out onto the floor. When I found this, I called the property manger and they promptly moved me to a two bedroom unit - which was great. I'm glad it was that simple for them and for me. The unit...

"We rented the loft to take the kids on the polar express. It is beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we could possibly need. We walked everywhere in downtown. The Christmas tree was beautiful, giant stuffed teddy bears and children’s book set out, the tv was on streaming a Christmas scene with Christmas music. All the little touches added to an already exceptional property. We hope to be back in the future. "
