"Such a lovely place, in the centre of fields with horses grazing peacefully around making the setting perfect! 10 mins on foot to the beach (to go sea glass hunting) and 10 mins in the car to Morrisons. The beach is pebble and it has a steep incline so if (like me) you suffer with bad knees, you need to take care but it can be done. "Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!"

"The location is superb right on the water. The house is lovely and had everything we needed! We had a slight issue gaining access, but the host was very responsive and helpful, so it was resolved immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again, our toddler didn't want to leave!"

"Lovely house, everything you needed was there. Great base for exploring the area. There was work being done on a new station but it didn’t influence our sleep or anything. Son was very excited about the trains passing by. Beach a short drive away or a walk. Great chip shop/ cafe and shop at the beachfront nearby. Host very helpful, we would recommend to friends. Beautiful decor, plenty of space and great for a family stay."
