"Proper old fashioned English pub with wonky beams, wonky floors, wonky windows and doors, dark oak furniture and a myriad of corridors and rooms, with a courtyard and even a dartboard. Free parking round the back on Talbot Street. Half to a third the price of Travelodge and Premier Inn but five times the atmosphere. Only gripe was no kettle and tea or coffee in the room so I took my own. "

"Staff were very accommodating as we were late due to traffic problems. They could not be more helpful and made us feel at ease, even though we were late for dinner. Staff in the whole premises were amazing. Food was also fab. We will definitely be going back. What an amazing stay for 1 night, wish we had of booked for longer. "

"Simple straight forward, pick up keys and enjoy the area. The pub offer some tasty choices and Apple desert ticks the box. Room was large without being too big and with windows front and back plenty of natural light. Heating was just right with an additional portable heater if needed, but didn't need it. They also provide an Iron and Ironing board which is a nice touch. My one niggle was there is no heating in the bathroom, as the weather was mild it's not an issue but come November it might,...
