This family's warmth and generosity shined in every aspect of our stay, from the moment we first stomped off our snowy boots, through our last delicious breakfast frittatta. "We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. Nice large dining table to play games on and scrapbook for those of us that don't fish! Location was good but I didn't realize what a "private lake " meant. Hence there was no place to put our boat in to fish on this lake. This is on me. The hostess was very helpful and finding us other options on where to launch our boat. Outside of an inconvenience it wasn't a problem. The area was very peaceful so would recommend if you would like a quiet stay."

"Great location. Minutes from Eagle River in quiet, wooded area. Excellent view of Otter Lake out the picture window. Clean and nicely decorated. Host provided home made cookies and the recipe as well! "

"My mom, two daughters and I had a great time at Northern House! The house was immaculate and the welcome package of snacks, cold waters in the fridge and ice cold mugs was fantastic. The kids loved the arcade area and playing board games on the gorgeous kitchen table! The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed and nothing was missed. We watched 2-3 deer twice a day cross right in front of the large picture window in the living room. I had hoped that the kayaks and paddle boards would still be out, but understood given the cold night temperatures. Sunsets and stars were amazing over Meta lake. Would love to come back late summer and fully experience all Meta Lake and Eagle River has to offer!"
