"PROS: The location is wonderful, set off a quiet road just outside of Stowe. Aside from some minor changes to the interior, the listing was very accurate. A cozy fire pit down by the stream was wonderful. Overall, the location was exactly what we were looking for. CONS: Did not appear to be cleaned after previous guests, or at least not fully. Damp laundry was sitting in the washer, and the linens for the main bed hadn't been cleaned. The gas fire pit was out of propane. "

"It’s quaint and charming cabin. Our first time to Vermont, seeing the colors and Stowe. Great location. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. Easy to find and check in. Maude was quick to communicate and gave recommendations that were helpful. A welcoming gift of pancake mix and Vermont maple syrup was waiting on the counter for us. I would definitely stay again and would recommend Maude’s place. "

"This house was the perfect place for a family gathering. It was an architectural dream! The view from the wrap around desk was amazing and the gas fireplace was warm and cozy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked--we lacked for nothing. The house itself offered rooms for large family gatherings while also offering private spaces if someone wanted some quiet time. "Little House was perfect for our stay! It was so quiet, beautiful, and peaceful, and Jennifer is an excellent host. She was very communicative when the wind caused a brief power outage and brought us over some extra water during that time! We visited Montpelier, Stowe, Waterbury, and Burlington during our weekend and all locations were easy to get to (and the drives there were beautiful!). An added bonus was the house being so close to Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. Would definitely stay here...

"My husband and I needed a little getaway to decompress. This was the perfect haven for us! The place was clean and in really good shape. The big windows were lovely to look out of. We wished we had more time to explore the trail that was on the land. It was quiet, comfortable, and restful. The bed was really comfortable. The kitchen was stocked for basic cooking which was helpful. There were plenty of towels if needed. We would recommend this site for sure!"

"If you plan to visit northern Vermont, I would highly recommend staying at the Muddy Mouse. I actually cant think of anything negative to say about it. It's truly a diamond in the rough. The property sits on a mountain top and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. "The property was absolutely stunning! Surrounded by trees, it was a dream for sure. The parking was a bit small but it didn’t matter, as we didn’t have anyone guests. I think my only concern for future stayers is winter months 4x4 is absolutely needed. But we couldnt be happier with our early October stay. "
