"We got this house because it was the only thing we could find that was affordable in Durham for a family my size. It had a terrible mildew/sulfur smell that hit you as soon as you walked in the door. There were paper towels to wipe your hands in the bathroom but no trash cans. "I had never done a VRBO before and this was a fantastic first experience. The photos and description are spot on. Everything in the home is labeled and set up for low stress. The owner was kind and responsive. I was the only adult with 5 tall teen boys and they slept comfortably and they loved the chess board and seating area. The coffee bars, popcorn maker, and games were such fun touches.We were very close to Duke and downtown Durham. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and already...

"A primary reason we chose this house is the proximity to downtown. We were able to walk to the Durham Performing Arts Center for a show we were attending, and there were restaurants and bars to choose from along the way.The listing advertises that this house sleeps 11, but we wouldn't recommend with such a large group. There were seven of us, and the sleeping arrangements were tight. If I had the power to make changes, I would cover the glass of the glass door bedroom with faux etched glass...
