"Stayed for two nights, Great service by the bar maid had a good laugh with her on the Thursday night 31/10/24 and the chef before his shift and the manager at night. 01/11/24 Nearly missed out on my breakfast in the morning as I had a few too many to drink the night before and I was late. "Lovely clean room with everything you need. Nice big shower. Radiator boiling hot all night, so even with the windows wide open, had a terrible sleep. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Horrible smell of sewers in the car park. "

"Stayed at the corner house as my daughter was back in hospital having heart surgery and i just want to say a massive thank you to Gemma who checked me in, your empathy and kindness truely shown during this awful time for me and my family. Honestly made a traumatic time less stressful and i can not thank you enough, wish more people were as kind and considerate as you, you are a credit to the corner house! The double room was also very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious too....

"Really enjoyed my time here, mostly peaceful, food good and left alone as needed privacy. Lovely pub and surroundings. Only gripes would be loud music until 2.00am in the morning one of nights I was there, but I guess this comes with staying in a pub. Also nasty smell in shower/toilet room, Maybe a problem with water pipes. Sort of like a dirty drain smell. Shame as the rest of my experience was great."

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "I use The Three Horseshoes ever time I am in the North East on business. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and lovely food. The restaurant can get busy which is testament to the quality of the food and beer. "
