Apartments in Durham

"Booked Super 8 as I was travelling over to work in the area. Nice clean room, super comfy bed, warm powerful shower and a Tv you can cast Netflix/prime etc to….what more do you need. As it’s a motorway services understandably it’s not got much round it. But it was nice and quiet in the rooms with no noise from the motorway. I didn’t eat in but the pizzas look good and there is a breakfast option. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the place was clean and tidy. Obviously there is ample parking and a WHSmiths and McDonald’s next door if needed. Would definitely recommend. I stayed for four nights and was more than happy"

"An over night stay allowing us to have 2 days at Beamish museum nearby and have a taste of luxury in the apartment. Due to dietary needs we have difficulty finding places for us all to eat. This led us to look for apartments. The Charron apartment looked fab on the internet and was even more of a suprise when we checked in. Check in was friendly and quick, the grounds and hotel were absolutely fabulous. A bit of a walk up a few staircases (lift was being repaired), we were offered help with baggage, but the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) managed with no issues. The apartment is separate floor you enter into a massive kitchen diner area with working oven, hob and microwave. Then another door takes you to a hallway and bathroom. Further around the lounge (massive space 2 sofas and a chair plus TV loads of channels and all the apps. Then turn a corner and it's so massive both bedrooms are beautiful with one being an ensuite. We wish we had booked another night. Although it maybe costly the fact we could cook for ourselves have separate rooms for us and the kids makes it worth the price. "

"Ideally situated to attend a family funeral. Room clean but basic. Comfortable bed. Only negative was walls thin between rooms and woke up to foul loud language from male next room."
