"Real 'down to earth' locals pub - lovely double room (single occupancy) overlooking main street - one of the best I've stayed in. Room only basis but I wouldn't hesitate to go back."

"Stayed before the hotel was renovated. Now everything is lovely and tastefully decorated. Very calm amd relaxing. Food and service excellent. Room 8 was a little small but perfect for a 1 night stay, ensuite immaculate. Would recommend staying and doing the low force to high force walk on the opposite side of the river."

"This was our second stay at the Moorcock and we will definitely be back. The owners and staff are really friendly . The room was clean and had a great view out the front . We ate in the pub every night and the food was great . Had a lovely steak and chips and a good roast dinner . My partner had a burger one night and it was massive and tasty. All the food was piping hot. The views from the pub garden are wonderful . Don't hesitate to book at this property . "
