"We visited Edinburgh for the first time. Came across this place during our research and booked without hesitation, as it was truly so historical. We didn’t mind it was 20-25’ cab drive from the city center and it was worth it. Dating back to 1480, it is still in such a good shape. This is literally the oldest place we’ve ever slept in. Room was comfortable and the common rooms of this place are amazing, including the room with the classic piano. We felt like we were transported back to the 15th century, but with comfort;) Breakfast was pretty good and the staff is very kind! Highly recommend for a unique experience!"

"We had a great two night stay at the Ravelston House Hotel. Room was very comfortable with an excellent en suite. Tea and coffee provided and the included breakfast was also very good. Bar menu was good, can recommend the haddock. Easy links in and out of the city by very frequent buses which stop within a few yards of the hotel in either direction. We’d definitely stay there again. "

"Great hotel. Really nice and friendly staff. Short train (8min) or bus (30min) ride into the city. Nice pool area with water at 29oC which feels a little chilly when you get in but is for for some decent exercise. Been twice, would go again. "

"We loved staying at this property, the location close to the sea and only a few minutes from the Main Street where there were shops and cafes was great. The train station was not far off for access to Edinburgh. Susie was always responsive and helpful. The accomodation had every thing we needed. "

"Perfect spot it you don't want to stay in the city. Ubers and taxis into Edinburgh are easy to arrange. Was upgraded to the Castle Suite and absolutely adored our stay. Highly recommend. "
