"Had a lovely stay. Reception saw I was disappointed the rooftop bar was closed so gave us two complimentary drinks to have at a sister hotel. We went to hotel 1898 for the drinks and it was lovely. Bwrg pleased with our room. The hotel is lovely. Bed very comfortable. No plug for the bath but I dare say this would have been sorted if I’d have asked for one. We were able to leave our baggage securely with concierge. Highly recommend "

"Staff was very helpful and bellhop was outstanding! The location was very walkable to the city center and some areas if you are able to able to walk several miles to different sites. Taxis are available if you are not a walker. Quiet area with coffee cafes and restaurants near by. We would stay here again. "

"Axel is really well located close to Paseo de Gracia in the heart of the Eixample. As such it’s walking distance to great cafes, bars, restaurants and shops and close to many of the best tourist sites in Barcelona. "
