"A clean guesthouse in a good position just off the seaward end of La Rambla. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Even though I cannot speak Catalan or Spanish, and they did not speak English, we managed to understand each other!"

There are a lot of ethnic shops/ restaurants around, including traditional Barcelona/Spanish bakery/cafes. Just a few minutes walk there is a vibrant local market open late at night under one roof where one can buy anything & everything, eateries with fresh seafood/meat prepared on order. Juice bars, bakeries, pizza...

"This was a great stay. When I arrived they let me know that I had gotten a free upgrade to have my own shower and double bed. The room was clean and very comfortable. The day of my birthday, I returned later in the evening and was gifted a small box of chocolates as well as a very nice note with well wishes. The staff went above and beyond throughout my stay and were all very friendly. Absolutely recommend staying here."

"Carmen, the receptionist, was lovely, fun, and informative. The room was right on La Rambla and the only drawback was that pur beds were two separate twins. So hubs and I squeezed into one. ;)"
