"This was a real gem. I had a single room but the bed was bigger than a regular single bed and was very comfy too. The facilities in the room were excellent and classy, including a shower that had a fine array of options and was switched on by a remote control, a first for me! Breakfast was in a lovely room and the table settings were, again, very classy. The host was gracious and accommodating including setting breakfast for me early on the day I left. All in all, I recommend highly."

On arrival, don’t follow map directions from app: they took us to train station (Casale Etrusco, to use name of establishment, is located at beginning of Via della Badia, just north of Donoratico, at km 266.15 on Vecchia Aurelia). No response on mobile number provided. Apartment clean but could be freshened up. Good wardrobe space in main bedroom. "Schön gepflegte Anlage. Ausstattung etwas älter, Küchenausstattung leider etwas dürftig. Erst auf Nachfrage wurde uns z.B. Spülmittel zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Personal kann überwiegend leider kein Englisch, daher ist die Kommunikation eher schwierig. Ansonsten aber sehr freundlich und offen."

Von der Strasse aus nur über Schotterpiste erreichbar mit zum Teil üblen Schlaglöchern - Vorsicht bei Navigation mit google maps: es gibt 2 routen, NICHT die Route von oben über Montescudaio nehmen"
