"We loved this historic and quirky hotel. The room and bath were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and linens were high-quality. We didn't like the stairs (there was no elevator), but it was only two floors. We had help with our bags at checkout. The location is perfect in a little alleyway connecting two main streets. We would stay here again."

"A gorgeous, quiet, very small hotel in an old palace just off one of the main Lucca streets. We had a large twin room with a lot of character and a good bathroom. The ladies who run the hotel are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent with home made yoghurt and cakes. The hotel is very clean and in excellent condition. We highly recommend this memorable and delightful hotel. For people with limited mobility there is limited parking and not to the door, There is a flight of stairs and a heavy door up to the hotel. There was a small amount of noise one night but generally very quiet and right in the centre of all the sights, restaurants & shops. "

"I thought that the spa offering was both unique and a nice vip offering. I said no to the offering prior as I did not get an up graded room. I did request a different room because of the steps and we had told them before that we could not lug the luggage up more steps. They did move us to an end room but it was not any different than the one we had aside from the no steps needed to enter the room from the hall. "

"Truly stunning property, elegant suite with superb attention to detail resulting in an opulent feel to our entire stay. The staff made our stay comfortable and so welcoming with a very high standard of personal service with lots of advice from where to eat to which paces to visit. Breakfast catered well for coeliac with lots of gluten free options. You will not find a more Italian feeling in Lucca. Thank you "
