"First time staying at a Virgin Hotel. Unusual room layout, walking into the bathroom. Though the room was very comfortable and the amenities and staff at the hotel were excellent. Can’t ask for a better location just around the corner from the Royal Mile. I would highly recommend this hotel and location."

"Lovely modern style apartment in Old Town. Best of both worlds. Appliances worked well with clear instructions. Staff were super helpful. A small Tesco is nearby to get essentials. We walked to it from Waverley with our luggage. I recommend taking a taxi. Bus stops are nearby, as is the hop on, hop off if you want to tour around. Beautiful time to visit Edinburgh in May!"

"Great stay at this hotel. The location can’t be beat with the Edinburgh Castle right outside the windows in the front of the building, and the Grassmarket right outside. The hotel staff were lovely and answered all our questions. The room was comfortable and we very much appreciated the fan as there was no air conditioning (probably not normally needed but it was a very sunny day when we were there and the room got a bit toasty!) "

"This was perfect for our last night of our trip. We enjoyed the restaurant and it was very convenient for getting to the airport early in the morning. They were very accommodating and we just told them the time we needed a taxi and they had it ready for us in the morning. "
