"I read reviews beforehand that said hotel was tired/dated. More rustic charm. Room and bathroom were really spacious and spotless. The staff were attentive and friendly. Food was lovely especially the venison burger and chilli beef. Perfect location if visiting Oldfield Forge. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely visit again. "

We were in Room 1 which is above the kitchen so noisy first thing in the morning. The signal for the TV was not reliable. However, these did not detract from our wonderful stay. "
