"Nice stay very quiet location "

"Decor is tired and dated. Bed linen, surfaces and crockery was clean but the stair carpets were very worn and room corners and skirting very dusty and grubby. Toilets need a good clean round the bend but seats were clean. Cooked breakfast good but only 2 cereals to choose from, no choice or brown or white toast and no tea available at breakfast. "Lovely property - our room is very large and spacious, the bathroom is immaculate. There are plenty of tea bags and sugar, the bed is beautifully dressed and very comfortable. The hostess recommended a restaurant next door - Indian cuisine - for dinner, and we did and that too was wonderful. "

"The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...
