"The hotel is excellent, and the staff was polite. However, even though I am a permanent resident of Japan, they asked to photocopy my Japanese Resident ID card, even after I told him, in polite Japanese, that this was against the law. Also, at check out, while I was waiting in line, two Japanese couples barged in front of me and were attended to first, for no apparent reason. I felt discriminated against, despite speaking the language and living in the country for 27 years."

"A great location, close to the train station. A very reasonably priced hotel. It’s a very basic, a bit run down but clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. "

"The staff members were very patient helping me on transportation booking. Their kindness and customer service were significantly exceeding my expectations. Excellent job!"

"This hotel is dated and has definitely seen better days. I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke :(. However, it was low cost and everything worked. The guy in reception was welcoming and friendly- made a particular effort to explain things, show me the free drinks in reception and hand me a tourist map. Location is walkable from centre (flat walk), but slightly further than ideal. Many dining options easily reached, but don’t expect much English spoken (have a translation app handy)."
