"The hotel public areas were very nice and comfortable. The staff in stags head bar were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Bedroom looked a bit tired. Staff at breakfast could have been more welcoming"

"Had a basement room in the hotel. It was very dark although comfortable. To use the facilities I had to download their app and booking a slot in their spa had to be done 24 hours in advance. Not worth the trouble for a two night stay. Breakfasts was nice and the setting of the hotel was lovely"

"The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned. The only saving grace was the staff and the breakfast the staff were polite,friendly and helpful especially Annie who made breakfast service a pleasure. Disappointing that hotels.com have this on there web site as im sure if they sent an inspector they would not recommend this hotel I for one will not be...
