"I had not realized on booking that the second bedroom was in the loft and accessible by a wooden loft ladder. Both my sister and I are retired and neither of us could get the ladder down. We decided not to contact Helen as we wouldn't have been able to go up and down the ladder anyway. It is very steep and doesn't have any handrailsThe property itself is an old style cottage with a good size kitchen which had some groceries to start us off. "I stayed in this cottage for 11 nights with my dog, my Mum came to visit for the weekend too. Kate and Cameron we're very welcoming, and went to extra lengths to make my stay enjoyable. A lovely touch was the welcome tray with tea, coffee and delicious shortbread! Not to mention a nice bottle of prosecco. "This truly is a hidden gem. Absolutely stunning location, so peaceful. The cottage has so much room, there were 6 of us yet did not feel on top on one another having the kitchen diner plus snug and upstairs living room. Rooms are spacious and the decor is beautiful. They have literally thought of everything. True home from home. Would love to go back. "
