"Wonderful and very special hotel"

"Great character property with beautiful bedrooms that are mostly individual. Great upstairs pool and elegant lounge salon in main building. Only minor issue is the road facing rooms above the entrance has several elderly men who talk incessantly 18 hours a day in a loud booming voice, but there in nothing the hotel can do about that. Beach Breakfast area with its world class view lacks elegant chairs that lessens its leisurely appeal. I had to remind myself all the time I was in a 4 star hotel...

Beach walks at low tide are a must as well as swimming at high tide. Happy hour is great if you’re travelling alone - it was all superb! Thank you "

"This was a beautiful property. The staff was beyond amazing and so accommodating. My fiancée and I wanted to use the hotel to take our engagement photos. We spoke with management to sure it was ok and they allowed us to do so. They were so pleasant about it and some of the staff actually stepped in to help that day of the shoot. Aside from the shoot, they were just great people with such good hearts and wonderful culture. I loved it there! I'll be back."

"We booked the Zanzibar Hotel in February 2019 for a stay in August. The week before we travelled we contacted the hotel to request an airport transfer, which their website said they offered. They replied to our Expedia message by saying that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment but we would be staying in a 'sister' hotel called the Tausi Palace and a driver would pick us up from teh airport and take us there. When we arrived at the airport the driver believed we were going to the Hotel...

"- Hotel in great condition, rooms really big and the decor all around the property is lovely. - A/c in the rooms and the power works most of the time and they have a backup generator. - Staff super friendly and knowledgeable - Internet is okay. I was there for work so I probably needed it more than the average traveller. - Could do with a bit more bottled water in the rooms - Good location close to everything - Breakfast a bit boring (fruit, cereal, eggs, crepe).
